Residential Rates

Residential rates are $19.82 per month. This rate is for once a week curbside collection, including curbside recycling with an 18 gallon bin. You may elect to add an additional cart for $6.61 a month. Carts and bins are provided by Allied Waste Services. A single family residence is provided one cart and one recycling bin.

Please place your cart and recycling bin curbside no later than 7:00 am on the day of collection. Place the cart within three feet of the curb with the wheels of the cart toward your house to allow the automated arm of the collection truck to reach the cart from the street. Please place cart at least two feet from any obstruction such as a mailbox or a wall.

Do not place carts and bins curbside before 6:00 pm the day prior to your scheduled collection. All carts and bins must be removed from curbside no later than midnight of the scheduled collection day.

All garbage must be placed inside the cart. The cart must be kept closed to prevent littering and to render contact inaccessible to insects, rodents and other animals.

Recycling Program

The Recycling Program includes newspaper, paper, paper bags, junk mail, catalogs, magazines, aluminum cans, steel cans, corrugated cardboard and any beverage or laundry bottle with a number one or two on the bottom of the bottle or jug. NO GLASS OR PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Did you know that in the third quarter of 2010 42,000 lbs. of plastic and metals, 57,000 lbs.of paper, 47,000 lbs. of cardboard, 360 yards of mixed roll off boxes, for a total of approximately 176,000 lbs. of recycled material, was collected?

Bulky Waste Pickup

Bulky Waste Pickup is scheduled for the months of November and April. Acceptable items: furniture, bundled brush (no more than three feet long and tied), appliances (without Freon), yard waste and other bulky items. Please place bulky waste in boxes, bags or bundles. Bulky waste is limited to not more than four cubic yards per household per collection. No flammable liquids, hazardous waste, tires or batteries will be accepted.

Up to three extra bags, boxes or bundles will be collected at no extra charge on collection days following a holiday.

Large items will be picked up by Allied Waste Services for an additional charge, however you must call Allied Waste Services to make arrangements for collection.

8.25% sales tax is charged on all garbage collection services.
