Presentation sponsored by Burnet County Emergency Services District #6 and Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department (MFAVFD).
Firewise Communities USA Program encourages local solutions for wildfire safety by involving homeowners in preparing their homes to reduce the risk of wildfire, teaching people how to adapt to living with wildfire and encouraging neighbors to work together and taking action to prevent losses in the future. Planning resources will be available.
There will also be brief presentations about emergency planning in Burnet County and the Burnet County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Representatives from Marble Falls Fire Rescue and Marble Falls Area VFD will also be available to answer questions.
Even smaller wildfires can cause significant losses to lives and property. Being properly prepared is an important step in helping individuals and neighborhoods stay safe.
