Local first responders will be conducting training in an abandoned building located at 2100 N. U.S. 281 in the City of Marble Falls over the next several weeks.
The current building is slated for demolition to make way for the new Panda Express. Marble Falls Fire Chief Russell Sander stated, “This provides the area fire departments an excellent opportunity to train firefighters in a commercial building and practice some skills that normally require special facilities to complete.” Mr. Sanders added, “No actual fire will be used during this training.”
Area residents will see increased first responder activity around the building at various times over the next several weeks. In addition to Marble Falls Fire Rescue, other area first responders will be participating in the training.
