Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the primary unit of the Marble Falls Police Department and consists of a Captain, a Lieutenant, (2) Patrol Sergeants, (8) Patrol Officers and a Reserve Officer.

Patrol Division Officers are the first to respond to Calls for Service (CFS) where law enforcement assistance is needed.  Duties of the patrol officer include the following: 

  • Apprehension of violators of statutes and ordinances
  • Investigating suspicious incidents and persons
  • Performing preliminary investigations
  • Traffic law enforcement
  • Suppressing disturbances
  • Roadway collision investigation
  • Traffic direction
  • Patrolling residential and business areas.

 In addition to their primary duties, the patrol officers are highly trained in various specializations including, but not limited to the following:

  • Domestic violence/Sexual Assault investigation
  • DWI enforcement (SFST/ARIDE)
  • Illegal narcotics detection and enforcement
  • Marine safety enforcement (MSEO)
  • Advanced traffic collision investigation
  • Incident command
  • Defensive Tactics/ASP baton/TASER
